Get River City Night pulled from rotation?
It makes everyone hate the Devs.
So, to make people like the Devs more ... Pull that craptastic map.

Maybe the new vision modes will help, or at least stop giving me headaches.

What is so bad about it? Vision modes? Those are being reworked right now and will be out soon. I don't see the point of this thread.

And no one "hates" the devs... people are just very vocal about how they want the game to be! :D

I'm with Bilbo on this. I want to try out the new vision modes on it. Plus when there were no night fights people bitched about that too.

I think it will be better when the night/thermal vision modes are improved graphically. As it is it does gouge the eyes. Once that's resolved it'll be a great map variant. Lots of skulking!

I don't see the point of taking so much time on some insane details to make a great looking map then force everyone to fight in a different vision mode where you can't see said detail.

I don't see the point of having vision modes that have no use on any map.

River City night is my second favorite map (after Caustic). Why would you want to take it away?

Map voting or whatever they mentioned might make you see it less, at least.

But, yeah, for every player that hates it as the OP does, there is approximately one other who loves it.

I like how they handled the use of thermal on Frozen City. If you used it, you would have advantages over someone who didn't when the blizzard hit. But you didn't have to spend the entire game in it. It gave situational advantages. But maybe this map was planned when vision modes were going to be modules you needed to purchase.

Night vision has been in the game since early CB and had no use whatsoever until River City Night was introduced.

It's a pain in the butt, but I actually seem to win in night city more than on other maps. (No clue why that would be, I groa every time I see it)

I really want the new vision modes though, I don't like how night vision and heat vision work currently. (Both make my eyes hurt)

I know that :D

I just think more maps should have you using multiple vision modes, rather than just using one. Like a map that had a large mech factory that you could fight in that you would need thermal to tell the difference between enemy mechs and factory mechs, or a map that had a large cavern where you would need night vision.

Or maybe the new vision modes won't give me a headache so I won't mind them.
